“Roxanne Mayweather, a native of Los Angeles began working in film at CBS Television City in Guest Relations. She quickly became interested in the filmmaking process and worked for Roger Corman, at his visual effects studio in Venice. After exploring jobs both in-front and behind the camera, she found her niche in footage and clearances.
Through SearchWorks (co-founded with Suzanne C. Shelton), Roxanne has worked on a wide variety of projects over the years, primarily in feature films, television and for numerous prestigious museums. Her work includes projects ranging from biographical scripted films (RESPECT, RUSTIN, SHIRLEY, I WANT TO DANCE WITH SOMEBODY) to Rom-coms and romps (A FAMILY AFFAIR, AMSTERDAM, GIRLS TRIP); with many varied documentaries (PRIDE, THE 13TH, DEAR MAMA: THE SAGA OF TUPAC AND AFENI SHAKUR); and various games, advertising campaigns and more. In addition to her work on the newly released, SPINAL TAP II: THE END CONTINUES, she also recently completed work on the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center museum and is part of the elite clearance team chosen for the Barack Obama Presidential Museum. She is proud to have a decades long expansive network of professional colleagues, institutions and friends in attendance at Footage Fest.”
